During treatment - we provide specialist nurses, doctors, play specialists and Homes from Home

In hospital & at home - we offer specialist social care and family support in the community through specialist youth services, holidays, grants and a helpline

After treatment - we help survivors and support those bereaved

		Toys for children This donation could pay for some toys to create a fun, comfortable environment for children in one of our Homes from Home, which offer families free self-catering accommodation close to the main regional children’s cancer centres. The atmosphere is relaxed and non-clinical, friendly and welcoming.	£15.00
		Prepare a child for treatment This donation could pay for a CLIC Sargent Play Specialist to help a child prepare for and cope with treatment, by using models, toys and photos to explain what will happen. When a child is calm, treatment can be given more easily and can also be more effective.	£20.00
		A day's meals for a family This donation could pay for a day’s meals for a family of four staying at Malcolm Sargent House – our holiday home on the Ayrshire coast. The house offers family-centered breaks and specialist weekends for young people, siblings, and bereaved families. Everyone there is in a similar situation, making it easy to for them to share their feelings and experiences.	£32.00
		Support after diagnosis This donation could pay for a CLIC Sargent Social Worker to be there soon after diagnosis, talking to a family one-to-one. Every family is different, so the social worker will assess their individual needs, and offer them appropriate support and services.	£50.00
		Support for siblings This donation could pay for a support group for brothers and sisters of children on treatment. A CLIC Sargent Social Worker will help them understand what is happening, talk about how they are feeling and share their experiences, which can help them cope during this time.	£90.00
		A bowling session This donation could pay for a bowling session and pizza afterwards for 10 young people with cancer. Activities like this enable young people to come together and share their experiences, helping to reduce isolation and build their confidence.	£180.00
		Home from home This donation could pay for accommodation for a family at a CLIC Sargent Home from Home for a fortnight. Here they can stay together within walking distance of the hospital where their child is being treated, which is often many miles from their own home. If they are well enough, the child can stay there too.	£400.00
		A break for a bereaved family This donation could pay for a specialist break for a bereaved family, allowing them to spend time together and with other bereaved families. Talking to people who understand, in a sensitive, supportive environment, can provide real comfort.	£950.00
